Today I was going to come home and take a nap. But the sun is shining and it's hot.

The past week or so I have been working on strengthening and painting my belly cast from my Blessingway when I was pregnant with Yuna. Yes that was a loooong time ago.

But today as I went to hang some washing out I just stopped, grabbed the oil pastels and started scribbling. Here's the finished product.

  1. Stunning! The swirly tree branches make me think of genealogy family trees and how babies that die are often left off. To me, this looks like a very personal reinterpretation of a family tree.

  2. Ever since Yuna died every time a pen or pencil is in my hand out flows a spiral tree. I just can't help it. I think trees are beautiful and display so many messages within the spirals, the connections with Earth...blah blah. I could go on forever.
xoxo Thinking of you, lovely distant friend.

  3. *tears* that is beautiful! spiral tree, perfection :)
